Cool 4 Cats
Cats Protection Harlow

The Cats Protection Harlow Branch was founded in 1993, and we now rehome about 150 cats and kittens a year.

We rely on our small brave band of fosterers, volunteers, sponsors and supporters and run the Branch with a small committee.

We raise most of our income from donations, membership fees, sponsorship and fundraising, and receive a modest discretionary grant from the national Cats Protection organisation.

Cats and kittens awaiting rehoming are fostered by our volunteers throughout the area and housed in sponsored Cat Cabins. We provide for their veterinary care and rehabilitation while they are with us, and before they can be adopted we vaccinate, neuter/spay and microchip them if they are old enough.

All cats are vet checked. We find new caring homes for them, and look after long term those very few we cannot rehome.

We rehome and otherwise help stray and unwanted cats and kittens along the M11 corridor from Woodford Green in the south to Saffron Walden in the north, taking in Loughton, Epping, Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Bishop's Stortford, Great Dunmow, Stansted Mountfitchet, and surrounding areas. We encourage neutering and provide information on cat care.

We cover these postcode areas: CB10, CB11, CM5, CM6, CM16, CM17, CM18, CM19, CM20, CM21, CM22, CM23, CM24, IG8, IG10.

We are always looking for volunteers for fundraising, publicity, home visiting (especially for Harlow), fostering (experienced cat owners who can accommodate a Cat Cabin in their garden) and speakers to present our work to local clubs and groups.

Please visit our website for more details and information on how you can get involved.
