Hands Off Thaxted is a group formed by residents to protect the town and its surrounding greenfields from unsustainable development. Thaxted is currently under threat from a number of predatory housing developers.

Since the inception of the NPPF (National Planning Policy Framework), there has been a relentless attack on the integrity of market towns and villages right across the country.

We are planning a number of fundraising activities and are pleased to announce that we have booked local English Country Dance

Band, the Scampering Rogues, to perform in Bolford Street Hall on the evening of 1st November 2014.

So come along for this really fun music and dance event - no previous experience necessary!

Tickets are available from Gifted, located in Town Street, Thaxted. They are already selling fast so don't leave it too late!
