Amici Cantate 'Sleigh Ride'
At Thaxted Parish Church

Bishop’s Stortford based choir, Amici Cantate, is delighted to be returning to the glorious setting of Thaxted Parish Church. On Saturday 8 December the choir will present 'Sleigh Ride' in aid of wonderful local charity, St. Clare Hospice.

The fabulous family friendly programme with a feast of festive favourites, singalong carols and fun Christmas songs will feature works by the world’s favourite composers and song writers, including: John Rutter, Bob Chilcott, Eric Whitacre, Arvo Pärt, Sir David Willcocks, Harold Darke and Irving Berlin.

Appearing alongside Amici Cantate will be Dunmow St. Mary’s Primary School Choir led by the wonderful Toby Heath. The concert will be directed by Amici Cantate’s inspirational new Music Director James Davey and accompanied by the fabulous Michael Smith.

Over the last five years the choir has raised over £12,000 for the various worthy causes it supports and is delighted to be performing again in support of their friends at St. Clare Hospice, who provide specialist palliative care for people living with terminal or life-limiting illnesses across West Essex and East Herts border.

Limited NHS funding means the charity needs to fundraise the majority of its running costs through donations and other voluntary sources.

This is going to be a very special evening indeed so please come along and help Amici Cantate raise the roof of Thaxted Parish Church and raise as much as possible for such an inspiring local cause! Refreshments will be available and there will be a raffle during the evening.

The concert takes place in Thaxted Parish Church on Saturday 8 December (7pm). Tickets cost £12 (adults), £6 (Under-16s) or £25 for a family (2 adults and 2 Under-16s), and are available by calling 01279 506773 or online at ticketsource.co.uk/amicicantate.

Please note: Family Tickets are only available online.
