Due to the success of last years Ethan Linwood Junior Championship and the continued improvement and enthusiasm of all of our players, we are now able to announce the coming of the 2nd year event for 2016!

This is an excellent opportunity for the boys to play in a competitive situation but amongst familiar faces and a relaxed environment. We know from experience that competition (under the right conditions) improves all players and is vital for development.

As last year, whilst this will be a competitive tournament, we are making it an inclusive and fun event, which will include attendance of one or two professional players. Lunch and drinks will be provided for the competitors.

We hope that, if at all possible, all the players who attend the Saturday club will sign up to play in the tournament. We also hope that parents will support the event by attending at least later in the day for the closing stages and presentation.

We will aim for a mid-morning start for a mid-afternoon finish, to include:

• Round Robin group stages so everybody gets a good few matches.
• a Plate Competition for those who do not qualify from the group stages of the main tournament.
• trophys and medals will be awarded to keep and the Junior Cup presented to the winner.
• a professional player attending to play a short exhibition match and present the trophies.
