Whilst our home is Thaxted, lots of our members come from the surrounding areas and we welcome women of all ages and backgrounds and play a unique role in providing them with the chance to build new skills and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

We meet monthly to discuss information on forthcoming events within our WI, news from headquarters on regional and national events, current campaign issues, charity fund raising, competitions and items relating to activities within local community.

We also invite interesting guest speakers along to introduce us to all kinds of news skills and topics.

To become a Guildhall Girl and join the WI simply come along to one of our monthly meetings. Guests are welcome, the entry fee for non-members is £5. Annual membership is £39.00. Visitors and members must be women over the age of 18.

Meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of every month at the United Reformed Church, Bolford Street, Thaxted, CM6 2PY.

Our doors open at 7.15pm, meetings start at 7.30pm.

There is a car park at the back of the building and on street parking in Bolford Street.
