Sunday, November 22nd, saw the official launch of local author Lisa Bush’s debut novel “Hanging Tough” at the Star Restaurant & Bar in Thaxted and friends and fans flocked to the Uttlesford eatery to celebrate with the rising star and her family.

The launch party was a way of saying a massive “thank you” to everyone that supported Lisa throughout her journey and the perfect opportunity for her new readers to get their exclusive first editions signed.

Lisa said: “the response has been incredible from family and friends. It’s nice to get together to celebrate and I am truly humbled to have this much support and love.”

She particularly wanted to thank Marc Laverrière, owner of the Star, who not only offered to host the event but also helped promote the book to attract the pre-orders necessary to win the publication deal. “It was so good to have such great local support” said Lisa.

And there was more good news for fans with the announcement that Hanging Tough is the first book in a trilogy whose 2nd instalment will be available soon at britainsnextbestseller.co.uk.

With the official launch, it’s safe to say that the first chapter of Lisa Bush’s writing career is well underway and she has already built a solid fan-base.
