On Sunday 27 May, up to 60 teams including schools, colleges, local businesses and daring individuals will battle it out to be named champion of the first ever Great Dunmow Soapbox Race! Now is the time to get your team together, get your entry in and start building your winning machine!

Expect to see jumps, near misses and quite possibly some spectacular crashes all in name of a fantastic local charity, Great Dunmow Round Table. All profits raised will be used to support the local community and to those who need it most.

The event will be a free, community-focussed event featuring professional comedian commentators, multiple food outlets, a bar and a selection of stalls and entertainment for children. The exact course layout is still under wraps but the race is scheduled to take place at Braintree Road, Great Dunmow (CM6 1HT). Doors will open at 10am with races starting 11am.
