For Saffron Walden Air Cadets

Saffron Walden Air Cadets celebrated the end of the year with its Annual Presentation Evening at the United Reformed Church. The Awards were presented by the Deputy Lieutenant of Essex, Wing Commander (Ret’d) Glenn Mayes.

Cadet Leighah Smith received a Jack Petchey Foundation Award for Outstanding Achievement, with Squadron Leader (Ret’d) Mike Dodd receiving the Leaders Achievement Award. Cadet Sergeant Ben Miller was presented with his CVQO BTEC Level 1 Certificate.

The Commanding Officer Flight Lieutenant Matt Lawrance said that the Cadets have experienced a great deal during the RAF 100 Celebrations, not least the three Cadets who achieved their first flights in RAF aircraft.
