Another month, another classic concert in Thaxted Parish Church! Saturday May 25th sees Seattle-born singer Lisa Peretti bring her flair for light classical and theatre music to Uttlesford, with special guests Lloyd Notice (West End’s “The Lion King”) and members of the Carver Barracks Military Wives Choir. Inspirational, beautiful & romantic - this is going to be something special!

ITS THAXTED MORRIS WEEKEND!
Polish your bells, sharpen your sticks and get the knots out of those hankies – it’s time for the Thaxted Morris Weekend! 2013 sees the 80th hosting of the annual meeting in Thaxted, over the weekend of June 1st & 2nd with clubs from across the country converging on the town to make merry and dance. This time-honoured knees-up is a really special event in a really special setting!

Undoubtedly one of the highlights of last year’s Olympic Games was the Tae Kwon Do tournament, Team GB collecting both gold and bronze medals during the event. Great to watch, the fast and explosive action of competition is but a glimpse into the comprehensive world of the martial art. Guys and gals of all ages are welcome and, due to its fast-paced style, Tae Kwon Do is a thoroughly modern way of getting buffed.
